How to find the right strip for your TV
Match on whichever identifier you have. The TV model number is printed on a label on the back of the set. The strip serial is printed along the strip you are removing. Manufacturers reuse the same panel across several chassis revisions, so screen size alone is never enough — a 40" set from one production run can carry a different strip count from the next. Check the LED count and the voltage against the strip you are replacing before ordering.

What is a TV backlight strip?
An LED TV lights its picture from strips of LEDs mounted behind or along the edge of the panel. When one LED fails the whole strip usually goes dark, and the TV shows a black screen with sound, or a picture only visible under a torch. Replacing the strip set restores the display — the panel itself is rarely the fault.

How do I know if my TV's backlight has failed?
The classic sign is sound with no picture: the set powers on, menus respond, but the screen stays black. Shine a torch close to the screen at an angle — if you can make out a faint image, the panel is fine and the backlight is out. Uneven patches, a dark band down one side, or a screen that lights for a second and then goes black point the same way.
